Laura attended the European STTC conference in Berlin today. Topics of discussion were all related to Exploring pathways to verified sustainable tropical timber. Couldn’t be more relevant for our research, right? There was a good mix of people from the timber industry and certification bodies, as well as from NGO’s and knowledge institutes. A great opportunity to hear different views on the tropical timber trade and on our methods!
Probably the most important conclusion of the day: We have to send one clear message into the world. Sustainable tropical forest management is a way to preserve those trees! Big thanks to Probos and IDH for the great organization.
