International collaborations are always inspiring!
This week the Timtrace team visited our partner university in Cameroon. We were welcomed at the University of Dschang, met with our collaborators and learned about their projects. Additionally, Pieter gave a lecture under slightly challenging conditions: heavy rains and powercuts made it hard to give a plenary presentation. Nevertheless, we were able to break up in smaller groups and we still had very interesting discussions on timber tracing and our work here in Cameroon.
Three students from Dschang also accompany us in the field this month and will continue to work with us for their master theses. We’re looking forward to reading their work!
